Fourier-domain transfer entropy spectrum

چکیده
We propose the Fourier-domain transfer entropy spectrum, a generalization of entropy, as model-free metric causality. For arbitrary systems, this approach systematically quantifies causality among their different system components rather than merely analyzing systems entireties. The generated spectrum offers rich-information representation time-varying latent causal relations, efficiently dealing with nonstationary processes and high-dimensional conditions. demonstrate its validity in aspects parameter dependence, statistical significance tests, sensibility. An open-source multiplatform implementation is developed computationally applied on neuroscience data sets diffusively coupled logistic oscillators.Received 12 October 2021Accepted 30 November 2021DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevResearch.3.L042040Published by American Physical Society under terms Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license. Non-Fourier Motion in The Fourier Spectrum
Typically, image motion analysis in the frequency domain is performed according to the Motion From Fourier Coeecients, or MFFC principle. However , this principle excludes a class of motion that does not generate power spectra containing the origin of the frequency domain, which is usually referred to as Non-Fourier motion. This type of motion includes phenomena relevant to motion analysis such...
متن کاملInformational entropy of Fourier maps.
An analysis on what is known as the interpretation of Fourier maps has been done from the information theory point of view: determining the nature of the peaks in the map (in order to assign them a suitable scattering factor) and allocating bonds between some of the possible peak pairs. Before interpreting the map, a quantitatively measurable entropy (uncertainty, unknowingness) relating to the...
متن کاملUpper Bounds on Fourier Entropy
Given a function f : {0, 1} n → R, its Fourier Entropy is de ned to be −∑S f̂(S) log f̂(S), where f̂ denotes the Fourier transform of f. This quantity arises in a number of applications, especially in the study of Boolean functions. An outstanding open question is a conjecture of Friedgut and Kalai (1996), called Fourier Entropy In uence (FEI) Conjecture, asserting that the Fourier Entropy of any ...
متن کاملSPECTRUM OF THE FOURIER-STIELTJES ALGEBRA OF A SEMIGROUP
For a unital foundation topological *-semigroup S whose representations separate points of S, we show that the spectrum of the Fourier-Stieltjes algebra B(S) is a compact semitopological semigroup. We also calculate B(S) for several examples of S.
متن کاملMeshless analysis of casting process considering non-Fourier heat transfer
Casting is considered as a major manufacturing process. Thermal analysis of a solidifying medium is of great importance for appropriate design of casting processes. The conventional governing equation of a solidifying medium is based on the Fourier heat conduction law, which does not account for the phase-lag between the heat flux and the temperature gradient. In this paper, the concept of phas...
